BMV Agencies Reopening

On Tue. 5/26/2020, Ohio BMV license agencies will reopen to the public. While House Bill 197 (HB197) is still in effect to offer an extension on the expiration dates of Ohio driver licenses and vehicle registrations, increased vehicle, and pedestrian traffic is expected.
HB 197 states that Ohio licenses, ID cards, temporary permits, vehicle registrations, and temporary tags,) expiring during the declared State of Emergency shall remain valid until either 90 days after the declared emergency ends, or 12/1/2020, whichever comes sooner.
Many transactions can be done by using the BMV Website (bmv.ohio.gov).
