Individual Cases of COVID-19 no Longer Being Investigated

 

1/31/22 – Knox Public Health has announced it is no longer conducting individual case investigation and contract tracing for positive cases of COVID-19. The action follows last week’s recommendation from the Ohio Department of Health that due to the quick spread of the Omicron variant and newly reduced timelines for quarantine and isolation, case investigation and exposure notification are impractical.… Read full story

FLSA Status: Exempt

Employment Status: Full-Time

Reports to: Judge Wetzel/Chief Probation Officer

Work Schedule: 35 hours per week (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

Department: Adult Court Services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
  • Must possess a minimum of five years of supervisory experience
  • Must hold a valid OPOTA certification to carry a firearm and must re-certify annually
  • Must be trained in defensive tactics
  • Must complete a minimum of forty (40) hours of approved relevant training each year
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening; employee may be required to complete these screenings bi-annually or as requested by the Judge or Chief Probation Officer

Function:

Under the supervision of the Chief Probation Officer, the Probation Program Director is responsible for supervising adult felony offenders through the Knox County Common Pleas Court (Chapter 2951 ORC).… Read full story
