Tomorrow, we are hosting an annual disaster exercise from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The exercise will take place at Kokosing Construction in Fredericktown and will involve fire, EMS and law enforcement agencies responding to a simulated release of hazardous materials.

Columbus – A former St. Clair Township (Columbiana County) police sergeant has been indicted on seven felonies, including theft in office, for falsely claiming overtime.

More Ohioans Now Legally Required to Report Suspected Elder Abuse
Starting on September 29, Ohio law greatly expands the number of individuals required to report suspicions of elder abuse, neglect or exploitation.
Mandatory reporters now include many more individuals in the financial services, legal and medical professions – for example, pharmacists, dialysis technicians, firefighters, first responders, building inspectors, CPAs, real estate agents, bank employees, financial planners and notary publics.
South McKenzie Street and Vine Street Closed
Engineering has advised that South McKenzie Street is closed between East High Street and East Chestnut Street for construction. It will be reopened later today.
