Geocachers Enjoy GeoTrail

We are in the second week of our GeoTrail Launch and we are excited to see so many visiting our Parks in search of the caches. Many of you have logged favorable comments about our Parks and plan to return and that is the idea behind our GeoTrail. Since our launch on July 9, we have had 128 logs on our (7) park caches.

We have also had a “travel bug” arrive at the Bat Nest Park cache traveling from Wisconsin. A travel bug is similar to a “dog tag” which has a code on the back for you to log when you locate one. The original owner of this “travel bug” placed it in a cache on December 31, 2017, in Wisconsin and thanks to many geocachers it has traveled to our park! Keep it going!

So far our popular caches have been voted to be Honey Run Waterfall and Honey Run Highlands. Thanks to all who are enjoying this new activity in our Parks.
