A gray Jeep was observed to be parked on North Ackland Street in Gambier and it was blocking half of the two-way street making it impossible for two vehicles to pass on the road. It also made it difficult for emergency vehicles to make the turn. The vehicle was impounded for blocking the roadway and towed by On the Spot Towing on March 29th, 2019.

A complainant, of the 19000 block of Ankneytown Road in Fredericktown, advised that Dale A Byers, of Fredericktown, was trying to start a fight with her and her son. The complainant and her son left the residence and went to a neighbor’s house to get away. Byers was arrested for domestic violence and menacing on March 29th, 2019.

A representative, of the Harcourt Road Grab & Dash/Shell in Mount Vernon, advised that an individual shoplifted from the store on March 28th, 2019.

Kenyon Campus Safety advised that a vehicle was parked in an emergency vehicle only parking spot on Ackland Street and that the vehicle did not have a license plate on it. The VIN was run through L.E.A.D.S and it was not located in the database. Howard Street Garage responded to the location where they opened the driver’s side door. An inventory of the vehicle was taken and the identity of the registered owner was found. Howard Street Garage took possession of the vehicle with proof of ownership for release on March 28th, 2019.

Deputies were dispatched to the 5000 block of White Road in Centerburg on an active burglary. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) entered their residence along wit a barn on the property and removed items. A canine search of the area was conducted but was unsuccessful in locating anyone in the area. Statements were collected and a report was written on March 28th, 2019.
