Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Oct 22, 2018

A complainant, of the 23000 block of Blanchard Road in Howard, called the Sheriff’s department stating that an unknown person was on her property late in the night. The complainant’s dog exited the home and chased the suspect, biting them before they left the property. The suspect entered a dark colored pickup and left the area. The complainant wished to make a report in case an injury was reported. The incident occurred on October 18th, 2018.

A complainant, of the 17000 block of Allen Road in Mount Vernon, advised that she had found nails in front of her driveway. She stated that she had picked most of them up but wanted it documented. A report was taken on October 18th, 2018.

A complainant advised that he had found some trash that had been dumped onto the property where he hunts. Names and addresses were located in the trash and contact was made with the owners of the items. they were given 72 hours to clean it up. A call on October 21st, 2018 advised that the trash had been cleared and the case was closed.

Kenyon security advised that they had found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in an apartment on the Kenyon campus. The drugs and paraphernalia were collected and placed in the Knox County Sheriff’s Office evidence room to be destroyed. The incident occurred on October 19th, 2018.

A Deputy was dispatched to the area of Flat Run Road and Hoover Road in Danville on the report of an injured deer. The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested the Sheriff’s Office assistance due to no trooper being available. The deer was in a field near Flat Run Road and was dispatched with the Deputies Sheriff’s Office issued Glock 17 9mm. A deer slip was issued to remove the deer from the field. Ohio Department of Natural Resources was contacted in regards to testing the deer for chronic waste disease. ODNR advised that animal was too young and declined to test it on October 20th, 2018.

A complainant, of the 50 block of Main Street in Fredericktown, wanted a report that he had an item taken from his detached garage on October 20th, 2018.
