Offenses

April 24
• Dispatch advised that a male called into the Mount Vernon Police Department making a threat. An investigation is pending.
• Units worked an arrest warrant on Mansfield Avenue. Nicholas Williams was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Mount Vernon Municipal Court.
• Units were dispatched to North Mulberry Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, for a report of a mental health crisis.
• An officer responded to 5 North Gay Street for a male providing fake documents to release a vehicle from impound. Zadick Ortiz was placed under arrest and charged with falsification and criminal simulation.

April 25
• Units were dispatched to the 300 block of East Ohio Avenue in reference to domestic violence.
• An officer was dispatched to the Learning Center, at 900 West Vine Street, for a fight. A report will be sent to the Juvenile Prosecutor.
• An officer observed a male trespassing on railroad property. The officer attempted to make contact with the male and he fled. One male was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail without further incident.

April 26
• An officer was dispatched to the corner of South Mulberry Street and West Ohio Avenue for a report of domestic violence.
• Units were dispatched to Columbus Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio for a disturbance.
• Officers responded to South Main Street in reference to a male breaking into vehicles. The subject was located and arrested. Nothing further at this time.

April 27
• Units were dispatched to Columbus Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio for a warrant.
• Units were dispatched to Dixie Drive, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 on a report of a suspicious person.
• A female reported a fraud complaint.
• An officer was dispatched to the area of Shirley Avenue for a burglary in progress. A male was transported to the Knox County Jail.

April 28
• Units were dispatched to Shirley Avenue, Mount Vernon, Ohio, on a report of a theft.
