Knox County Sheriff’s Reports and Calls for Service – Apr 24, 2024

April 23
• Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Beckholt Road in Mount Vernon, Ohio on a disturbance. When deputies arrived on the scene residents advised a very intoxicated male had left the house and was most likely in the woods. Due to the weather beginning to get colder and the males intoxicated state deputies searched for the male for multiple hours until they received a call from the complainant again saying the male was there. Deputies arrived on the scene and learned a domestic violence incident had just taken place. An investigation was conducted and two males were arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail, charged with domestic violence.
• Deputies were dispatched to a residential medical facility to assist staff in mandating a female resident to speak to a mental health professional at the hospital. The female was transported via ambulance with no issues, and a pink slip was filled out by her doctors.
• A deputy was advised of a subject in the Sheriff’s office lobby who wanted to turn themselves in on a warrant. The deputy responded to the lobby and made contact with the subject.
