Offenses

April 3
• Units responded to the area of South Division Street and East Ohio Avenue for a report of an armed suspicious male. Following a brief pursuit, Jayden Dewyze was taken into custody and was charged with multiple violations.

• An officer responded to Speedway, located at 1 Columbus Road, in reference to found drugs. The manager reported that a customer brought in a small baggie containing a white crystalized substance that was located in the parking lot. The property was collected and placed into an evidence locker at the Mount Vernon Police Department.

• Units were dispatched to the 800 block of Howard Street for a disturbance. Upon arrival, units make contact with several people arguing. A complainant provided video of Hayden A. Ellis standing outside with a wooden baseball bat yelling and telling the victim he was going to kill him. Alexander was yelling obscenities that were taunting and insulting that would likely provoke a violent response. Alexander was issued a minor misdemeanor citation for disorderly conduct. Hayden was issued a summons in lieu of arrest for menacing.

April 5
• An individual was observed having a drug overdose. The subject was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment. Nothing further at this time.

• An officer responded to a parking complaint on West Gambier Street. The owner was unable to be located. The officer issued a parking ticket to the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded and secured at Blubaugh Body & Frame. The license plate was seized as requested by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. This investigation was closed and no charges were filed.

• An officer was dispatched to Follin Avenue Apartments for a violation of a protection order. Timothy Siegle II was charged violating a protection order.

April 6
• Units were dispatched to the 100 block of Coshocton Avenue in reference to a disturbance.

• An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of East Vine Street in reference to vandalism.

April 7
• An officer responded to the 700 block of Follin Avenue in reference to telecommunications harassment.

Jayden T. Dewyze was charged with possessing a defaced firearm, offenses involving underaged drinking, obstructing official business, carrying a concealed weapon and using weapons while intoxicated.
Dawn M. Allman was cited for expired license plates.
Hamady Sidibe was cited for oversized/weight vehicles on local streets.
Phillip S. Spearman was cited for window tint.
Ilena Salinas was cited for no operator’s license.
Marvin J. Almendinger was cited for red light.
Beverly Ann Kerr was cited for 25 mph except on State Route outside business districts and alleys.
Meredith L. Swafford was cited for OVI – under the influence and refusal of chemical test with previous.

April 4
Rina Karpovich was cited for expired license plates.
Dana E. Campise was cited for failure to control/weaving course.
Dennis J. Hoobler was cited for speeding – 25 mph zone.
John A. Boyd was cited for driving under an FRA suspension.
Melissa K. Miller was cited for starting and backing vehicles.
Shun Zhang was cited for expired license plates.
Logan M. Murphy was cited for Right of way when turning left.
Izaac A. Mowery ac tail light required, OVI – under the influence and OVI – .17 or more of alcohol per 210 liters of breath.

April 5
Timothy C. Siegle was charged with disorderly conduct in a medical facility, obstructing official business, violating a protection order, and was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Christopher S. Lewis was cited for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
Thomas A. Underwood was cited for expired license plates and driving under suspension.
Delaney K. Shultz was cited for failure to display license plates and no operator’s license.
Kaitlyn Morales-Dyer was cited for 35 mph except on State Route outside business districts and alleys.
Chase C. White was cited for expired license plates and operation at a stop sign.
Sierra M. Derr was cited for speeding -25 mph zone.
Kathy D. Boroff was cited for operation at a stop sign.
Russell O. Speicher was cited for 25 mph except on State Route outside business districts and alleys.
Bethany L. Miller was cited for operation at a stop sign.
Lauri J. Lange was cited for 25 mph except on State Route outside business districts and alleys.
John Walter Price II was cited for 25 mph except on State Route outside business districts and alleys.
Charles J. Proper was cited for operation at a stop sign.
