Governor DeWine Signs Bills Into Law

 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the following bills into law: 

  • Senate Bill 91, sponsored by Senator Tim Schaffer (R-Lancaster), amends sections of the Ohio Revised Code regarding fraud, waste, and abuse of public funds and to prohibit the expenditure of local tax revenues upon a vote of residents or without an appropriation.
  • House Bill 201, sponsored by Representatives Brett Hillyer (R-Uhrichsville) and Steve Demetriou (R-Bainbridge Township), to prohibit a state agency, county, or township from restricting the sale or use of a motor vehicle based on the energy source used to power the motor vehicle; to prohibit a state agency from adopting the California emissions standards for motor vehicles; and to change the requirements for natural gas company infrastructure development riders and economic development projects.
