Ohio Department of Public Safety, ODOT to host Summer Safety Bash for Hilltop Community

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS), ODOT, and the Ohio School Safety Center will host a free family-friendly event for the Hilltop community Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“This event is not only a great opportunity to meet and support our neighbors, but a chance to show them what we do to help keep them safe,” said ODPS Director Andy Wilson. “While the bash will have a strong message about safety, it will also be a fun event for families to kick off summer.”

The Hilltop Summer Safety Bash will include fun activities, a chalk art contest, inflatables, mascots, first responder trucks, a dunk tank, and more. There will also be a quiet space for kids to engage in activities in a sensory friendly atmosphere. This FREE event will be held at the ODPS parking lot, 1970 W. Broad St. In addition to food and games, a number of resource providers, local organizations, state agencies, and community groups that serve the Hilltop area will be on hand to share their resources to help kids have a safe summer.
