April 20
• A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a moving violation in Clinton Township. A Mount Vernon Police Officer with his K-9 partner conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle with a positive alert to the odor of narcotics. A passenger was in possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a concealed weapon.

April 21
• A complainant called to report that multiple subjects trespassed on the property of their business and stole a lawn mower from their dumpster. A deputy responded and made contact with the complainant. The complainant described the vehicle, the subjects on the premise, and wrote a statement. The complainant sent photographs to the deputy’s email to be attached to the report. The deputy wrote a summons in lieu of arrest to be issued and a report was completed for court.

• Deputies were dispatched to a residence. A complainant stated that there were three individuals in her residence. Deputies arrived on the scene and were unable to locate the three individuals. Nothing further at this time.

• A complainant called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office to report that their child’s phone had been lost and they were tracking it in Ontario, Ohio a report was filed at the request of the complainant.

• A complainant stated that she was a victim of unemployment fraud and a report was made on her behalf.

April 23
• A deputy was dispatched to the Danville Laundromat on an investigative complaint. A complainant called in stating that she was attempting to use one of the dryer’s at the facility and located bullets inside
the dryer. The bullets were collected as evidence and a report was written for documentation purposes.

• A disturbance occurred at the Dollar General in Martinsburg. Two male individuals engaged in a verbal argument. Contact with all individuals involved was made and statements were collected. One of the individuals was trespassed from the Dollar General.

• Deputies were dispatched to an address on South Monroe Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Deputies conducted an investigation and identified a male suspect and female victim. It was determined by Deputies that a verbal altercation had occurred between the two and that personal property had been damaged inside the residence. A report was taken and being forwarded to the City Law Director for review of charges.

• Deputies were dispatched to a frequent runaway juvenile from Avalon Road. Contact was made with the Knox County Juvenile Prosecutor where it was determined to take the juvenile to the Muskingum County Juvenile Detention Center. The juvenile was released to the custody of the detention center where she was charged with an Unruly Juvenile Offense.
