A Jelloway area resident is in jail after a search warrant was executed by the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Unit. John T. Welch age 66, is in custody on a probation violation and suspected drugs were seized by detectives as part of an ongoing investigation. Additional charges are expected.
Assistance was provided by the Mount Vernon Police Emergency Services Unit, Mount Vernon Municipal Court Probation, Danville Police department and the Knox County Dog Warden.
