Grounds Management Proposals Being Accepted for 2023 Calendar Year

The Knox County Fair Board will be accepting proposals for the grounds management for this coming 2023 calendar year. The grounds management includes for the mowing, and trimming of the grass areas of the fairgrounds as shown below:
Timeline:
March 18th:
There will be a walkthrough of the grounds for all interested parties at 9 am at the Knox County Fairgrounds.
March 25th:
Last day for proposals to be submitted.
March 31st:
Award identification by close of business
1. The fairgrounds are to be regularly maintained providing a presentable visual condition for the public. Frequency of mowing shall not allow for excessive clippings to be ‘visible’ which would be considered unacceptable.
2. Mowing of areas A, B & D to be performed weekly.
3. Mowing of area C to be performed every two weeks.
4. Trimming of all areas A thru D to be performed every third mowing.
5. All work to be conducted from dawn to dusk hours only.
6. Mowing scheduled start and stop for the season to be clearly identified in each proposal.
As the fairgrounds is on public ground, any interested party is encouraged to review the grounds ahead of the March 18th walkthrough date to be prepared with any questions they may have for making their proposal.
