Mount Vernon, OH— May 6, 2020 — Today the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau announced the immediate release of their newly redesigned 2020/21 Visitors Guide Magazine.  The magazine is currently available for digital download on their website; VisitKnoxOhio.org.

“Over a year ago The Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau decided we needed to invest in a visitor’s guide that truly represents how special and unique Knox County is” states Kate Aryanata; Marketing Chair and owner of the Mount Vernon Inn. “We are very proud of this new guide and feel it is a valuable tool in attracting visitors to our area while also raising awareness of local attractions within the community itself.”

The Visitors Bureau started with process by issuing a request for quote to half a dozen publishing companies both locally and state-wide.  After careful consideration and deliberation, the organization decided to partner with Great Lakes Publishing of Ohio. Great Lakes Publishing produces over 20 travel guides state-wide and is the publisher of magazines that include Ohio Magazine and Long Weekends.

Marilyn S. Tanious; Senior Account Executive with Ohio Magazine had this to say about the partnership with the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau on the project; “Great Lakes Publishing has enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with the Knox County CVB over a period of years.  Knox County’s many tourism assets, including the bike trails, outdoor recreation, park system, quaint downtowns and The Woodward Opera House, have been featured in Ohio Magazine several times.  Ohio Magazine named Mount Vernon as one of our Best Hometowns for 2018.  We are excited about telling the Knox County tourism story in this beautiful new guide.”

The publication will serve as the official Visitors Guide Magazine for Knox County tourism for the years 2020 and 2021.  The guide will be distributed locally and regionally by the bureau to encourage travel to Knox County.

“We believe this beautiful publication shows the great collaboration the Visitors Bureau has with our local and regional tourism partners” sites Justin Bauer, Executive/Marketing Director for the bureau.  She goes on to say; “We are excited to release this publication to the public and showcase all that Knox County Tourism has to offer.” Laura Hess; Vice Chair and member of the Marketing Committee for the CVB includes “A more modern visitor guide was a top priority for the Knox CVB and Marketing Committee.
