Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Aug 06, 2019

A representative of Dollar General (North) in Mount Vernon, advised that a male went into the store, filled several shopping bags with merchandise and left. Video evidence was obtained and a report made on August 5th, 2019.
Maria Ely was arrested on an outstanding warrant on August 5th, 2019.
A traffic stop was made on a vehicle for a driver’s license infraction. A canine was taken around the vehicle and it gave a positive alert. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed numerous items of drug paraphernalia, drug abuse instruments, and marijuana. Cierra Steigerwald and Audrianna Clupper, both of Mount Vernon, were arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail on August 5th, 2019.
