Senator Responds to Supreme Court Decision Allowing President to Move Forward with Raiding Military Funds for Border Wall
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) released the following statement tonight in response to the Supreme Court’s decision to allow President Trump to move forward with his plan to raid military funding to pay for his border wall. Brown has supported efforts to use the best technology available to secure our border, which is much cheaper and more effective than a wall.
“We have the world’s best technology and everyone agrees we should use it to secure our border. But instead of doing what’s right for American security, President Trump wants to steal from military men and women in places like Dayton, Mansfield, Toledo, Springfield, Lima, Columbus and Youngstown to bankroll his political agenda,” said Brown.
