Chaplain Marvin Haught joins the Mount Vernon Fire Department with over 26 years of Pastoring experience as well as 26 years of Volunteer Firefighter/EMT experience.

Chaplain Haught is has been a full-time Pastor with the Brandon Baptist Church and a Volunteer with the Homer Volunteer Fire Department for the past 18 years.

Chaplain Haught is joining the MVFD family as a Volunteer Chaplain in hopes that the members will utilize him in their time of need. Members of the department often see some things that they do not feel comfortable talking to members of their family about. Chaplain Haught comes to us with not only a Pastoring background but also a Firefighter/EMT background, which gives him a better understanding of the things our crews see and deal with on a daily basis.

Chaplain Haught is married to his wife Jill and has four children ( Caleb, David, Aaron, and Paul).

Welcome aboard Chaplain Haught.
