RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Participate as a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Team and work in collaboration with other members to implement the agency mission and vision. Expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times and provide a positive impression to staff and the community.
• Work in collaboration with stakeholders (staff and families) to conduct long and short-range planning, and with local agencies, school districts, and other referral sources to coordinate and provide services to eligible children and their families.
• Participates in state, regional and local meetings, assigned committees, in-services, and special projects, events, grants, and initiatives as requested.
• Assure systems are developed and maintained to evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of the services and supports provided.
• Gather outcome information & other related data in order to prepare required reports.
• Ensure component compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards such as, but not limited to federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities rules. Develop and implement program procedures to assure compliance with applicable Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities rules and KCBDD policies.
• Work in conjunction with the Fiscal Dept. to prepare operating budgets and allocate resources.
• Maximize revenues and monitor expenses according to approved budgets.
• Negotiate and monitor service contracts.
• Supervise, support, facilitate and coordinate work of assigned staff. Assign duties as necessary.
• Conduct performance evaluations of assigned staff. Establish performance objectives for staff consistent with desired organizational outcomes, individual staff strengths, and professional growth/development needs.
• Identify and provide for the training needs of Early Childhood staff.
• Participate in the Team Interview and recommend applicants for hire.
• Assign children to staff member caseloads within established timelines.
• Monitor documentation to assure service delivery is consistent with requirements and procedures.
• Provide technical assistance to staff to promote best practices in early childhood services.
• Provide comprehensive orientation regarding early intervention evidence-based practices and parent coaching to new staff members.
• Other related job duties as assigned by Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Eligibility for Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Early Intervention and SSA Supervisor Certifications. Bachelor’s degree in education, health, social or behavioral science, social services, human services, or related academic field.
• Management, supervisory or leadership experience; previous experience in service delivery for children.
• Previous experience in working with multiple community organizations serving children.
• Previous experience with budget preparation and strategic planning.
• Social work, special or early childhood education, or child development practices.
• Child evaluation & assessments.
• Must possess a high level of administrative competence.
• Current and valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability.
• Clearance of BCI/FBI, Abuse Registry, and Pre-employment Drug Screening.

DATE AVAILABLE: Immediately

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible as needed, normally 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
