The IT Support Technician is in a position to help our small to medium-sized business customers operate more efficiently due to the proper use of today’s technologies. We are looking for candidates with strong customer-oriented consultative skills that also have strong technology and troubleshooting skills. In this role, you will provide desktop and network support for numerous businesses, with a focus on Level 2 & 3 issues. This position is a great combination of both the consulting side and the technical side of the business.

Common issues that you will work on include server, network, virtualization, and storage troubleshooting. You will work on problems that may be intermittent and difficult to resolve.

This role is for you if:
• You have worked in an IT troubleshooting position for at least 5 years in an MSP type environment or at least 7 years if supporting just a single organization.
• You are comfortable and capable of troubleshooting and solving almost any complex issue that may affect a small to medium-sized business
• You’d rather spend most of your time on challenging issues rather than common day to day IT support requests
• You’d like to reduce the amount of time you spend being the initial handler of support requests. You no longer want to be on the front lines of support calls.
• You’d like to spend a part of your day mentoring others with less experience
• You’d like to be surrounded by team members that you can learn from and collaborate with

Position Description
Tier 3 Technician’s scope of responsibilities includes but is not limited to the following functions:
• Server Installs and troubleshooting
• Migrations (File Server, Exchange Server, DHCP Server)
• Microsoft Exchange migrations and troubleshooting
• Network and Server documentation
• Hard driver recovery
• Virtual server maintenance and migration
• Wireless Networks
• VPN Tunnel

• Possess strong analytical skills and effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a wide range of users having different levels of computer expertise.
• Ability to design workable solutions to problems in a timely manner
• Writes and speaks clearly and concisely
• High level of focus and professionalism
• Willing to train and help others

Qualifications
5-7 years’ experience
CCNA, CCNP, CCIE MCSA, MCSE highly recommended

Pay
Pay will be based upon experience and certifications but ranges from $23.98-$30.50/hour
Must be able to transport self to various customer locations
Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving history
