Dog Groomer Position Available

Are you looking to do something different with your life? Do you love dogs? Join our team and become an awesome dog groomer! Upon completion of our training program, you will have all the skills necessary to work as a professional dog groomer or pet stylist anywhere. Experienced dog groomers are in high demand all across the United States. This is a fun, challenging career that will keep you engaged and wanting to learn.

No experience required to apply for this position. All necessary training will be provided. This position is competitive so please be prepared with a resume and cover letter describing your relevant skills, experience, education, hobbies, and personality traits. The training program can take anywhere from 1-3 years to complete so please consider your commitment level before applying.

Starting wage is $8.50/hr with raises given appropriately as your skill level increases. An experienced groomer working at an average pace in our salon should expect to earn anywhere from $14-20/hr plus tips.

Responsibilities:
As a groomer-in-training, your responsibilities will encompass all those needed in the everyday operation of the salon. These responsibilities include customer service, cleaning and record keeping. Prep work is vital to the quality of groom and the bulk of what you will do in the early stages. Prep work includes bathing, drying, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and combing. Trimming will not be started until solid prep skills have been established, usually in about 6 months time.

Our salon hours are 9:00 am-5:30 pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Noon-9:00 pm on Wednesday. Part-time availability will be considered but full-time is preferred. Position starts the first week of September.
