Hotel Maintenance Assistant

Quality Inn & Suites is hiring a MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT POSITION: Quality Inn, Bellville has an opening for a Maintenance Assistant (40+ hours per week) to do all aspects of building & grounds maintenance. Must be mechanically inclined.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to bend at the waist and work on knees. Ability to reach overhead. Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to walk three flights of stairs. Ability to work outside in the hot or cold weather. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

SKILLS NEEDED: Ability to do general building and grounds maintenance. General knowledge/skills with HVAC, electric and plumbing. Knowledge and ability to use basic work tools and equipment. Ability to work well under limited supervision. Ability to work well with others. Must be characterized by a strong work ethic. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s record. Must have valid transportation. Must be accessible by cell phone. Must have the ability to accept some on-call responsibility. EXPERIENCE

PREFERRED: Apartment, building, or lodging maintenance experience.
