Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Jul 09, 2018

A complainant, of the 15000 block of Crooked Street in Mount Vernon, advised that a car that was parked in front of his house had the windshield shot out by a BB gun on July 6th, 2018.
A victim, of the 10 block of Cottage Street in Mount Vernon, advised that he had received a phone call informing him that his identity had been stolen. He was asked to prove his name and social security number for confirmation. The caller then requested his bank account information at which point the victim hung up and called the Sheriff’s Office on July 6th, 2018.
Katelyn A Wolford, of Columbus, was observed speeding on Coshocton Avenue near Center Street. After making contact with Wolford it was determined that she was under the influence of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were conducted and Wolford was arrested for OVI on July 7th, 2018.
A victim, of the 2000 block of Laurelhurst Road in University Heights, advised that his property was burglarized with several items taken. The incident occurred on Jugg Run Road in Frazeysburg on June 9th, 2018.
A complainant, of the 600 block of Highland Drive in Howard, advised that an intoxicated female had almost drowned in Apple Valley Lake on July 7th, 2018.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on Harcourt Road on a vehicle with a non-working plate light. The driver, Michael Fields was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were administered and it was determined that Fields was driving while impaired. He was arrested and his car was impounded on July 8th, 2018.
Officers responded to a disturbance on Sychar Road where two occupants of a vehicle were parked on the wrong side of the roadway in the grass between the sidewalk and roadway. The driver, Michael D Fields of Mount Vernon, was found to be intoxicated and arrested for OVI. The passenger, Jesse C Nyhart of Mount Vernon, was arrested for disorderly conduct on July 8th, 2018.
Clayton E Ward, of Mount Vernon, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on July 8th, 2018.
