Jan 3

* Vandalism to garage on Tilton Street.

* Traffic complaint of vehicle failing to use its turn signal on North Street at East Street.

* Assisted motorist in area of Market & Main Streets.

* Traffic complaint of vehicle w/loud exhaust on W. Main Street. Justin D. Scott age 18 of Newark who was a passenger in said vehicle, was found to have an active arrest warrant. Scott was taken into custody w/o incident and transported to the Knox County Jail.

* Conducted K-9 search of vehicle for illegal drugs/contraband w/positive hit on W. Main Street.
Jan 4

* Assisted outside agencies on Nashville Road.

* A vehicle which had been reported stolen from Carey Lane was recovered on Progress Drive.

* Gave CIT assist to citizen having homicidal thoughts on E. Main Street. Officer transported citizen to KCH for evaluation.

Jan 5

* Traffic complaint of vehicle w/loud exhaust on S. Market St. area of Flat Run Road.
* Conducted K-9 search of vehicle for illegal drugs/contraband w/negative hit on S. Market Street.

* Traffic complaint of vehicle w/faulty lighting on S. Market Street.

* Traffic complaint of vehicle w/illuminated LED light bar on the front bumper. In the area of South Market and Washington Street.

* Took stolen vehicle report of a 1999 Ford Explorer from a Earlmick Street residence. Officer later recovered stolen vehicle from the Community Center parking lot on W. Rambo Street.

* A concerned citizen brought an item valued at $1,200 to DPD advising they had purchased it from an individual and fears it may be stolen. DPD confirmed that it was stolen out of Holmes County. DPD recovered the item from the concerned citizen and released the stolen item to Holmes County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Daniel Weckesser says that it is great to have good honest citizens who choose to do the right thing and come to DPD and report their suspicions. Chief Weckesser commends the citizen for doing this and for their help to recover stolen property.

* Traffic complaint of a vehicle pulling a trailer and the trailer has no visible license plates.

* K-9 unit responded to the 12000 area of Coshocton Road as backup assistance to KCSO on a possible burglary.

* Officer received a report of a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed coming from Millwood on Millersburg Road heading into Danville. Officer located vehicle and observed equipment violation. Upon stopping the vehicle, officer conducted a K-9 investigation w/positive hit. One 17 year old was issued a citation for possession of marijuana. Juveniles were released to their parents.

Jan 6

* Gage Funk age 24 of Canal Fulton was arrested and charged w/OVI.

* Requested to check on the welfare of a dog in the 400 block of Cedar Street.

Jan 7

* Responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of E. Walnut Street.

* Traffic complaint of vehicle w/only one headlight on S. Market St. area of Flat Run Road.

Jan 8

* Suspicious vehicle off North Street area of the Horse Trail.
