Nine Found Guilty

MOUNT VERNON – Judge John Thatcher found nine guilty at arraignments held at the Mount Vernon Municipal Court on November 7, 2017.

Teresa Ryan, 31 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of four counts of Failing to Confine a Dog and two counts of Failing to Display Dog Registration. The Court sentenced her to pay $100 worth of fines plus court costs.

Frederick M. Murphy, 49 of Mount Vernon, pled guilty to Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced him to serve 30 days in jail, with all jail time suspended, serve a two-year probation term, complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days.

Neil A. Spencer, Jr., 20 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia. He was sentenced to pay a $150 fine plus court costs.

Alivia N. Jones, 18 of Brinkhaven, was found guilty of Possession of Marijuana Drug Paraphernalia. The Court sentenced her to pay a $150 fine plus court costs and suspended her operator’s license for 180 days.

Mitchell A. Carruthers, 29 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving under FRA Suspension. He was sentenced to pay a $250 fine plus court costs.

Kierstin D. Stone, 21 of Howard, was found guilty of Failure to Use Reasonable Control and was sentenced to pay a $50 fine plus court costs.

Michael M. Atkins, 33 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of driving with No Front License Plate and was fined $25 plus court costs.

Bo Lee Stage, 19 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Driving under Suspension. He was sentenced to pay a $200 fine plus court costs.

Beth R. Lemaster, 36 of Mount Vernon, was found guilty of Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments and was sentenced to serve 90 days in jail, with 82 days of jail time suspended and credit for 8 days served, serve a two-year probation term, complete an alcohol and drug assessment within 60 days, and to pay court costs.
