Hello Neighborhood Watch Group!
Just wanted to give everyone a reminder for some upcoming events:
- Saturday July 15th will be our next meeting and we will be getting a tour of the Knox County Jail. We will meet in the lobby of the Knox County Sheriff’s office at 10:30am. The Sheriff’s Office is located at 11540 Upper Gilchrist Rd. Mt. Vernon, OH. If transportation is a concern for you, please do not hesitate to let me know and I will make sure you have a ride.
- National Night Out Committee – If you are a part of the NNO Committee or would like to become a part of the committee, please stick around for a brief meeting immediately following the jail tour this Saturday for a brief meting. I would also like for this committee to meet again on Sunday July 30th at 1pm.
- NATIONAL NIGHT OUT – Please spread the word and join us for our 2nd annual National Night Out event on Tuesday August 1st at 6pm on the square. This is a very fun event centered around crime prevention awareness with the hope of building neighborhood camaraderie and fostering Police-Community relationships. This event will feature a live band, car show, crime prevention scavenger hunt, dunking booth, public safety displays, free give-aways, food, etc. A flyer with additional details is attached to this email.
