We understand that the cost of starting school can cause concern for many families, so we want you to be aware that the Ohio sales tax holiday is approaching. The Ohio Legislature has once again provided a sales tax holiday beginning Friday, August 4, 2017, at 12:01 a.m. and lasts until August 6, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. The following items are exempt from sales tax during the holiday:
- Clothing priced at $75 per item or less;
- School supplies priced at $20 per item or less; and
- School instructional materials priced at $20 per item or less
