Friends of the Library Book Warehouse Reopens May 27

The Friends of the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County Book Warehouse will again open its doors to the public for the summer on Saturday, May 27, 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. at 13081 Coffing Road, Mount Vernon.

Friends of the Library volunteers have stocked thousands of new and used books, videos, DVD’s, CD’s, audiobooks, records and magazines that will be available during sale hours throughout the summer from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday through Saturday until the first week in November. The popular ‘Stuff It’ 5 a Bag sale will continue this summer.

Donations for items are used to fund programs at public libraries in Mount Vernon, Fredericktown, Danville and Gambier throughout the year. Books and other materials from the warehouse have been donated to libraries, schools, and non-profit, military and community organizations around the world.

Every child under age 18 can select one free book per visit. The book warehouse is located north of Mount Vernon off of State Route 13 North and Green Valley Road near Knox Berry Farm in the former Coffing Green Valley Meats/Pie Factory building.
