Chaffin Sentenced to 7 to 8.5 Years for Trafficking, Possession, and Fleeing Police

Brandon Chaffin pleaded guilty to five felonies today and was sentenced to an aggregate sentence of seven to eight-and-a-half years. The charges included trafficking methamphetamine, possession of heroin and methamphetamine, and fleeing and eluding a police officer. In two separate incidents, Chaffin sold bulk amounts of methamphetamine to a confidential informant, and was in possession of large amounts of meth and heroin, making the possession charges second degree felonies.
While at large on the earlier case, he led MVPD officers on a high speed chase down Coshocton Avenue, which ended when he crashed into a residence on Pleasant Street in Mount Vernon. In addition to the prison sentence, Chaffin’s driver’s license was suspended for 8 years, and he will be on parole supervision for three years after prison release.
