Human Trafficking is also an online threat to many. There are many social media apps and websites that traffickers use as a way to recruit someone, pose as another peer to become a friend, befriend someone who is emotionally vulnerable, and ask for explicit photos. Ways to help protect yourself and your children is to stay current on apps, social media, and websites that are being used, not giving out personal information, monitoring your child’s time spent on the internet and checking the apps on their cell phones.
