Crawford Sentenced to 7 Years on Meth Trafficking, Corrupt Activity Charges

Kristy L. Crawford, 40, formerly of Mount Vernon, was sentenced to seven years of mandatory time as the result of her pleas to seven felony counts in Knox County Common Pleas Court. Crawford entered guilty pleas to aggravated trafficking in drugs, conspiracy, engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and weapons under disability.

Crawford’s arrest was the result of a months-long investigation by Det. Terry Wolfe and Det. Lt. Craig Feeney of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with the Columbus Police Department.

In addition to her prison term, Crawford has forfeited a 2005 Mercedes-Benz, six firearms and approximately $5,500 involved in the offenses to law enforcement.

Crawford was at the center of a group of individuals bringing methamphetamine to Knox County from suppliers in Columbus. According to records kept by Crawford that were seized in the investigation, she supplied other lower-level dealers in Knox County with methamphetamine. Many of those individuals have already been successfully prosecuted for drug trafficking or possession.

Following her release, Crawford will be subject to five years of supervision by the Adult Parole Authority.
