Theophilus Sentenced to 10-Life Term for Rape

Dustin Theophilus, 36, formerly of Fredericktown, pled guilty and was sentenced yesterday on one count of rape with a sexually violent predator specification. The case stemmed from an August 2023 incident where he brought a 13-year old to Knox County to engage in sexual activity.
Theophilus is currently serving a 4.5 year sentence for unlawful sexual conduct with another teen victim. His 10-life sentence will be served consecutively to his initial sentence, meaning his initial parole eligibility will be about 14 years away.
“The sexually violent predator specification means that his release from prison will likely happen far after his initial eligibility date,” said Prosecutor Chip McConville. “He is truly a diabolical offender, preying on young girls and violating their trust.”
The case was investigated by KCSO Det. Matt White and Det. Sgt. James Ferenbaugh.
