Cliff Carpenter Inducted Into Knox County Sports Hall of Fame

Earlier this month, one of our very own operations managers, Cliff Carpenter, was inducted into the Knox County Sports Hall of Fame!
He was a First Team All-Ohio Linebacker for Mount Vernon and, on the baseball field, he was a power hitter. Cliff enjoys playing all sports, but softball is at the top of his list. Before graduating in 1974, he achieved and still holds the school home run record for a season. Later, at Bowling Green State University, where he pursued a degree in education, he became a three-year starter.
In his career of more than four decades, he has:
  •  batted over 5,000 home runs
  • been named Most Valuable Player three times
  • been named one of the Top 10 players in the nation
  • been enshrined in the Columbus Slo-Pitch Hall of Fame at Berliner Park and the Mansfield Softball Hall of Fame
  • been a member of the Ohio USSSA Softball Hall of Fame and the Mount Vernon Athletic Hall of Fame.
We are extremely proud of you, Cliff, and congratulate you on your many accomplishments!
