FCFD firefighters had a busy evening with the storms that blew through on Wednesday evening around 7:00 pm. Torrential rain, high wind, and lightning strikes were a common occurrence throughout the region that caused issues for many.
Divide and conquer, the crews attended to trees down, lines down, and checking on residents within the affected areas. Firefighters staffed E419, R415, G412, and G414 to split up and cover the area as efficiently as possible. Multiple issues in the following areas were handled: Ankneytown Road, Crestview Drive, Knox Lake Road, Old Mansfield Road, Quaker Road, and Yankee Street/Roberts Road.
Assistance was provided by the Village of Fredericktown and Fredericktown Police Department for the call on Crestview Drive.
