The Time is Now

New Directions stands in solidarity with those protesting systemic oppression, police violence, and the recent deaths of Black individuals like Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and many more. We will continue to lift our voices and amplify them, as we maintain our belief that we can’t stand for the eradication of any type of violence (inter-personal, domestic, sexual) if we don’t first address the issues of oppression, especially racism.

Our hearts are heavy and grieving from the continuous violence against communities of color, and we recognize our work continues. We see you. We hear you. We must do better. We must have these difficult conversations. We must use our platforms to speak out. We must be part of the change that is needed and that change must start now. New Directions serves all people and is available to those impacted by inter-personal violence. We work to promote anti-violence in all areas including race, religion, sexual orientation, ethnicity, and other self-identifying proclamations.
