Llewellyn Found Guilty of Sex Offender Registration Violations After Bench Trial

Ryan Llewellyn, 26, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty Friday in a judgment entry filed after a bench trial on July 16. The court found Llewellyn guilty of two counts of failure to provide a change of address, one count concerning his physical address, the other for internet accounts.

Llewellyn has a prior failure to register offense stemming from a conviction for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of three years in prison on each count.

These charges stem from Llewellyn’s last registration on January 29, 2019, where he registered as homeless but did not provide any information about where he could be found. He also failed to register Facebook accounts with the Knox County Sheriff.

The case was tried by Assistant Prosecutor Nicole Derr, and investigated by KCSO Sgt. Tim Knell and Dep. Annette Mahon.

Sentencing is set for August 29.
