Knox County Sheriff’s Report – May 06, 2019

Kyle Baker, of Mount Vernon, was observed traveling in the center of the roadway headed west on Yauger Road. The vehicle a hard correction back into the westbound lane. Baker was stopped and found to be operating under the influence of alcohol. After field sobriety testing, Bake was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol on May 5th, 2019.

A complainant, of the100 block of Terrace Avenue in Newark, reported a trespassing incident that occurred while he was trying to hunt on his grandfather’s property on Fry Road in Mount Vernon. The complainant warned the trespassers and escorted them off of the property on May 4th, 2019.

Drugs and drug paraphernalia were collected from a Kenyon College Campus Safety Officer and placed into evidence for destruction on May 4th, 2019.

Deputies were dispatched to the 7000 block of Columbus Road on a suspicious person call. A complainant stated that he observed someone with a flashlight walking around the building. He also stated that nobody was to be at the property. After arrival at the property, lights were found on in the house and a generator running outside. Contact was made with five people in the house and two people, Matthew Friar and Mary Ann Dales, were arrested for possession for drug abuse instruments and transported to the Knox County Jail on May 3rd, 2019.

Heather Hager, of Mount Vernon, was placed under arrest for aggravated menacing and resisting arrest when a complainant called 911 stating that Hager was pointing a knife at her and threatening her on May 4th, 2019.

Jamie Allen, of Howard, was located and arrested for an outstanding warrant out of the Knox County Common Pleas Court on May 3rd, 2019.
