Knox County Sheriff’s Report – Feb 05, 2019

A Deputy was dispatched to the 9000 block of Bishop Road on the complaint of a possible violation of a protection order. It was determined that John S Capoccia, of Centerburg, had violated a civil protection order out of the Knox County Common Pleas Court. Capoccia admitted to texting his wife earlier in the day and he had two previous convictions of violating a protection order. Capoccia resisted arrest but he was arrested and a report was taken on February 4th, 2019.

A complainant, of the 4000 block of Prairie Road in Mount Vernon, called the Knox County Sheriff’s office to report a firearm that was possibly stolen from his vehicle. A report was written and the firearm’s serial number was entered into NCIC/LEADS.

A marijuana pipe was located on the playground at Wiggin Street Elementary in Gambier. The pipe was turned over by school staff and placed into evidence for destruction on February 4th, 2019.
