Bill A Compton, of Mount Vernon, was arrested for domestic violence on February 3rd, 2019.

A Deputy was dispatched to South Main Street in Fredericktown on the report of a disturbance. A complainant advised that Christian W Robinette, of Fredericktown, was being violent with his mother and himself. The Deputy was at the same residence with the Fredericktown Police on the same situation on February 3rd, 2019.

Deputies were dispatched to the 18000 block of Fredericktown-Amity Road for an injured deer in the roadway. The deer was located, removed from the roadway and dispatched on February 3rd, 2019.

Deputies observed a vehicle leaving storage unit on Harcourt Road during the early morning hours. A traffic stop on the vehicle was conducted and after a probable cause search of the vehicle, marijuana and marijuana drug paraphernalia was located. Christopher Korns, of Mount Vernon, was arrested for OVI and also cited for the drugs and paraphernalia on February 3rd, 2019.

A complainant, of the 3000 block of Grove City Road in Grove City, advised that he returned to his Sycamore Road home and found his mailbox on fire. Pictures were taken and a report was made for documentation on February 3rd, 2019.

A Deputy was traveling on Danville-Amity Road when he noticed a truck in a field near Terrace Ridge Circle. The vehicle had spun off the roadway and was stuck. Joseph A Gouge, of Fredericktown, was given field sobriety tests and was arrested for OVI on February 2nd, 2019.

A traffic stop was made on the defendant’s vehicle for a marked lanes violation. After a Deputy made contact with the drive, the driver was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. The drive complied to testing and performed poorly on the field sobriety tests. Scott E Vance of Gambier was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of an unknown substance on February 2nd, 2019.

The Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible attempt to use mail and e-mail to commit fraud. Deputies spoke with the complainant, and advice was given and a report was taken on February 1st, 2019.
