Therapist Position Available

Young Star Academy is a proud provider of residential treatment to behavior problems in adolescent boys. Therapists work closely with youth and staff to provide an overall treatment team approach to mental health treatment for each youth. Therapists provide: one-hour daily group counseling, weekly individual counseling, family counseling as needed, mental health assessments, diagnostics and written Individual Treatment Plans and Progress Reports. Therapists must be willing to join the team approach in interacting with youth during daily routines and building relationships.

Qualifications:
* Preferred LPCC, LISW with SUD scope of practice
* Experience working with adolescents and sexual offenders
* Experience in providing direct service and treatment to individuals, families, and groups
* Experience with assessing and diagnosing adolescents
* Willingness to be a member of a team of individuals that includes: staff, teachers, caseworkers, probation officers, and families.
