Knox County Fairgrounds Receives a Fresh Coat of Paint

Several buildings and fences were beautified Saturday at the Knox County Fairgrounds during an organized community service event involving the Knox County Common Pleas Court and Mount Vernon Municipal Court’s probation departments. A grant provided paint and brushes for more than 25 probationers to complete the project. The endeavor was spearheaded by Knox County Safety and Loss Prevention Coordinator, Emily Marth, and Randy Canterbury, Recycling, and Litter Prevention Coordinator. The project was supervised by Officer Adam Taylor of Knox County Adult Court Services and Officers Dave Priest and Joel Carter from the Mount Vernon Municipal Court’s Probation Department. By participating in the event, probationers are given credit toward their court costs and fines, while also doing something good for the community.
