On February 6, 2018, detectives from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Mount Vernon Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit executed a search warrant at 1201 West Vine St. in Mount Vernon. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into drug trafficking.
Carly Ash was arrested on a probation violation. Jason McClung was arrested and has been charged with aggravated possession of drugs, and aggravated trafficking of drugs in the vicinity of a school. While conducting the search detectives seized a weapon, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a surveillance system. The case remains under investigation.
