Google’s Web-Based Game Teaches Fundamentals of Internet Safety to Children

Google has released a new web-based game designed to teach the fundamentals of internet safety to children. The game, called ‘Interland,’ teaches the five core internet principles around being internet smart, alert, strong, kind, and brave. ‘Interland’ represents part of a broader program called ‘Be Internet Awesome,’ developed in conjunction with online safety bodies ConnectSafely, the Internet Keep Safe Coalition, and the Family Online Safety Institute. The game includes resources for teachers and a video series for parents which is designed to make talking about online safety fun and accessible.
