Columbus Zoo Returns to Knox County

The Columbus Zoo will return with its ever-popular traveling exhibition full of surprises, animals and fun facts to the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County Children’s Summer Reading Program, “Build a Better World” on Wednesday, June 7 and Thursday, June 8.

 

The program is co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is free to all ages. Registration is not required. Program schedules and locations are as follows:

Wednesday, June 7
10:00 a.m. – Gambier Community Library at the Gambier Community Center
1:00 p.m. – Fredericktown Community Library at the Fredericktown School Administration Building (old high school)

Thursday, June 8
10:00 a.m. – Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County at the Mount Vernon Y-Sports Center, Chestnut Street (park at the main library or the Living Center)
1:00 p.m. – Danville Public Library @ St. Luke’s Community Center

Programs are designed for children up to fifth grade. Participants can attend one or all of the programs at each location.
