Attorney General to Announce Recipients of Victims of Crime Act Grants

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)— Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine this morning will announce the recipients of more than $2 million in Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grants that will be used to launch crisis intervention programs for hospitalized victims of traumatic violent crime. 

The grants will be awarded to five victim service providers that will partner with five hospitals in the state. 

The funds are being awarded as part of the “Ohio Attorney General’s Expanding Services and Empowering Victims Initiative” which was formed in 2015 to determine how VOCA funds could best be spent to serve crime victims in Ohio.
