Department of Aging Now Accepting Applications for 2022-2023 Ohio Scholars in Aging Program

Participating students will receive $2,000 stipend

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio Department of Aging (ODA), in conjunction with the Ohio Association of Gerontology and Education (OAGE), is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Ohio Scholars in Aging program.

NIH-Supported Clinical Trial of Phage Therapy for Cystic Fibrosis Begins

Enrollment has begun in an early-stage clinical trial evaluating bacteriophage therapy in adults with cystic fibrosis (CF) who carry Pseudomonas aeruginosa (P. aeruginosa) in their lungs. The trial is evaluating whether the bacteriophage, or “phage,” therapy is safe and able to reduce the amount of bacteria in the lungs of volunteers.Read full story
