August 17
Deputies, Mount Vernon Police, and Mount Vernon Fire Medics responded to a report of an overdose at a Columbus Road address. A female was unresponsive and transported to the Knox Community Hospital.
Deputies responded to a harassment complaint involving juveniles. Deputies spoke with both parties and a report was filed for documentation purposes.
Deputies were transferred a call by dispatch concerning a checkbook that had been stolen from a vehicle at a construction site at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. The caller advised he did know who had taken it and that a check had already been cashed. A report was taken and a detective was notified. The case will be turned over to detectives.
A complainant advised that while his vehicle was parked at a business on Harcourt Road someone broke the passenger side window and stole a 12 volt Dewalt impact driver from inside.
A complainant/victim reported that she was assaulted by an ex-boyfriend.
Deputies were dispatched to Sycamore Road near Curtis Road in reference to a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputies determined to impound the vehicle due to it not being moved in the given amount of time and it being a traffic hazard in the roadway.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an address on Murray Road in reference to a female who was having a mental health crisis.
