Chief Weckesser and the Danville Police Department are NOT advocating the idea of eliminating the Danville branch of the Public Library. The Police Department IS and has been in need of a larger building to accommodate the growing need to best serve our community. However, let it be known that ANY decision to move, expand, relocate or eliminate the library should be a decision made by the people of the village of Danville. The Danville PD supports our library and the need it fulfills within our community.
