For the time of day, it was only to be expected that things were to be pretty quiet, with only 5 or 6 other customers partaking of a casual drink and chat with a friend. The atmosphere was fairly relaxed, though the music playing in the background was somewhat masked by the constant hum of the refrigeration units, in which an assortment of cakes were on display.
Were it not for that, I think I could easily have whiled away a couple of hours, enjoying my drink and surfing the net, courtesy of the free Wi-Fi.
The free Wi-Fi sign up was a little different than those I have come across before. When first navigating to a web page, you are taken to their own Wi-Fi sign up page, when you can choose between a quick/basic access, or to sign up with your name and email address. The second option results in an email being sent to you to activate your account, which has the benefit of allowing automatic connection on returning visits.
All of this aside, I return to my beverage of choice, a large French Vanilla Cappuccino. The drink was most refreshing and, had a distinct flavor from the same flavor beverage purchased at other locations. I think I could grow accustomed to it quite easily, if not addicted, were the physical location a little closer to home. This would be especially likely, given that my caffeine craves can kick in any time of day or night and they are open 24 hours a day.
Not having tried any of the desserts during this impromptu visit, I cannot comment on them, however they are exceptionally easy on the eye to say the least, and can only dream for now how great they might taste.
Perhaps next time, or the time after that…
