Former MVMS Teacher Pleads Guilty to Sex With Student

Andrew Walsh, 36, of Mount Vernon, today entered a guilty plea to sexual battery for engaging in sexual activity with a former Mount Vernon Middle School student.
Walsh had been employed at MVMS as a gym teacher. Upon entering the guilty plea, Judge Richard Wetzel revoked his bond and he will be held in the Knox County Jail until his sentencing on April 29.

An international team of scientists has found evidence that SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, infects cells in the mouth.
